BOOST is currently helping one of our clients hire a Senior Director of Human Resources to serve as a trusted advisor to employees as well as senior executives. You will lead strategic HR initiatives within the organization that focus on enhancing the employee experience and helping to drive business. Ideal candidate will have experience in GovCon, possess strong compensation model knowledge, experience with leading a professional development program, and have the ability to conceptualize and implement employee engagement.  This position manages direct reports and is a full-time hybrid role based in the DMV area and requiring occasional travel to West Virginia.

Responsibilities

  • Implement a leadership development program within the organization 
  • Evaluate and update compensation model and internal labor categories 
  • Drive performance evaluation program; identify a process and tools 
  • Identify and implement LMS for compliance training and tracking 
  • Create and implement an employee engagement program 
  • Manages and mentors Corporate Recruiter and Human Resources Manager 
  • Create and maintain a Diversity, Equity and Inclusion plan 
  • Understand and lead compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance. Also understands OFCCP compliance 
  • Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law

Qualifications

Education/Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required
  • 8-10 years strategic Human Resource experience in GovCon managing areas of compensation, performance management, leadership development 
  • Familiarity with DE&I programs
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
  • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn BambooHR and JazzHR

Personal Requirements:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills. Will be a trusted advisor interacting with senior management frequently to enhance the employee experience 
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality

Preferred Experience:

  • 8-10 years human resource management experience preferred
  • SHRM-CP a plus
  • Hands-on experience implementing performance management or compensation-related programs 

Work Authorization Requirements:

  • U.S. Citizenship
  • Availability to work a hybrid schedule in the DMV that requires occasional travel to West Virginia
