We are currently seeking Controller who will perform client delivery tasks for BOOST clients.   This is a full-time, fully-remote position.

Responsibilities

Client Accounting Tasks

  • Manage the workflow within a client’s accounting department, to include the review and posting of transactions within client accounting systems
  • Support month-end closing and issuance of financial reports for clients
  • Assist with Accounting Policy and Procedure development and in optimizing Internal Controls for clients
  • Help clients develop and manage Operating Budgets
  • Develop and monitor cash flow forecasts
  • Monitor Indirect Rates against budgets
  • Calculate Intercompany Allocations
  • Help ensure compliance with applicable FAR, DCAA, GAAP and CAS requirements
  • Support tax inquiries from 3rd party CPA firms for tax preparation
  • Assist with reviews and audits from 3rd party CPA firms
  • Assist with and conduct “Audit Readiness” reviews – help clients determine whether they are ready for a DCAA audit
  • Conduct and support 1408 assessments & accounting ecosystem assessments
  • Support Incurred Cost Submission preparation
  • Assist with Forward Pricing and Provisional Billing Rate Proposals
  • Also provide the occasional Proposal Pricing support
  • Perform other Accounting Special Projects as needed by clients

Client Account Management

  • Be the main point of contact for clients and oversee recurring accounting services provided
  • Assist with the onboarding of new clients
  • Lead internal and client status calls
  • Be the eyes and ears for clients to help identify gaps in other back-office areas

Management Responsibilities: 

  • Provide management, supervision, and training to direct reports
  • Help manage client workloads for direct reports
  • Approve timesheets and participate in performance reviews for direct reports
  • Review and approve BOOST invoices for your recurring client services

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance required; Master’s degree in accounting or finance preferred
  • 8+ years of experience in finance/accounting, in government contracts for multiple type contracts.
  • Deep knowledge and understanding of USGAAP
  • Advanced knowledge of CAS, FAR, and DFARs and unallowable costs
  • Expertise and understanding of accounting transaction workflow to include cost review, reconciliation of accounts, and adjustments
  • Proactive and consultative style, with a strong service focus required
  • Strong communication, project management, and leadership skills with the ability to proactively manage a variety of projects and timelines
  • Proficiency in using a variety of computer software applications, including Microsoft office tools and web-based tools
  • Experience with one of the following systems is preferred: Unanet, QuickBooks, or Deltek Costpoint
  • Adaptability, flexibility, and a sense of humor – thrive in a fast-changing environment
  • Ability to see the big picture

  • Fantastic written and verbal communication skills.
