We are currently seeking a Senior Accountant Consultant to join our internal team here at BOOST.  You will report to the Controller and be providing supervised client support. This is a full-time, fully-remote position.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with external clients to provide analysis of budgets and schedules needed to meet contractual/project requirements
  • Monitor and review client contract/project budgets, tracking to ensure that contractual cost and schedule objectives are met
  • Establish and maintain Estimate at Completion spreadsheets for clients
  • Provide project profitability metrics for client projects and present information to clients
  • Assist pricing team in development of compliant pricing responses for cost proposals, including analyzing RFP requirements, developing pricing strategies,  
  • Review and post journal entries and supporting documentation prepared by accountants
  • Prepare and formally document journal entries and account reconciliations for month end
  • Process and reconcile payroll through third-party payroll providers as needed and/or coordinate with internal Senior Payroll Administrator
  • Monitor and reconcile bank accounts, credit cards LOC, etc.; proactively resolve reconciliation variances in a timely manner
  • Research, document, and resolve complex transactions
  • Lead month-end close for multiple engagements
  • Lead internal and external client status calls
  • Manage deliverables for multiple projects and assignments
  • Prepare and deliver financial statement packages
  • Maintain accuracy of all workpapers and month close packs
  • Effectively manage competing priorities within tight deadlines
  • Conduct and support 1408 assessments
  • Conduct and present financial analysis
  • Comply with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) for financial statements
  • Compiling reports/summaries of financial activity
  • Proactively communicate with team members, clients, and leadership
  • Additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

Experience & Education Requirements 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, finance, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of government-contracting experience for multiple type contracts.
  • 5+ years of experience in accounting, general ledger accounting, financial reporting, or auditing.
  • Experience with various contract types (FFP, T&M, CPFF, CPAF, etc.)
  • Must have working knowledge of FASB and GAAP.
  • Knowledge of CAS, FAR, DCAA compliance.
  • Experience working with QuickBooks, Unanet, Costpoint, PROCAS, JAMIS, or any other ERP in the GovCon space.
  • Advanced experience with MS Office Excel (Pivot tables, Vlookups, xlookups, Sumsif, etc.)

Work Authorization Requirements 

  • Valid authorization to work in the U.S.

Preferred Experience

  • CPA or CPA candidate preferred.
  • FP&A experience preferred.
