BOOST is helping one of their teaming partners hire a bright and talented Controller to join their Corporate Services team. Our partner is a Woman Owned Small Business in SBA 8(m) programs and Center for Veterans Enterprise-certified Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business that offers subject matter expertise in the world of federal contracts.

You will be responsible for the day-to-day Accounting activity of the company including all levels of project accounting, from setup to close-out, internal reporting to the company’s Leadership and Project Managers, and internal and external Government reporting and compliance. This is a full-time, fully remote position. 

•  Month-end closing and issuance of financial reports each month
• Incurred Cost Submission
• Assist with Internal Controls Support and Management
• Assist with Direct and Indirect Cost Budgets
• Assist with Indirect Rate Monitoring, Rate Adjustments
• Assist with Forward Pricing and Occasionally Proposal Pricing as Required
• System setups for new projects/onboarding
• Project accounting and reporting for all Government contracts
• Support and train Corporate Services team members and Project Managers
• Financial Review and Strategic Analysis
• Assist and conduct Audit Readiness
• Write, Implement, and Enforce Internal and External Accounting Policies and Procedures
• Ensure Compliance with FAR, DCAA, GAAP, and CAS requirements
• Provide Executive Strategic Advice and Support the company’s Leadership
• Budgeting and Forecasting / Benchmarking / Cash Reporting and Management
• Support tax inquiries from CPA firms for tax preparation
• Assist with reviews and audits from 3^rd party firms

• Payroll tax and compliance (Knowledge and support in).

• Other duties as assigned

Team Management Responsibilities: 

• Oversight and coordination with third-party Accounting support, as required

Experience & Education Requirements

• Experience with Unanet is required
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance required; Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
• 8+ years of experience in finance/accounting, in support of multiple types of government contracts
• Must have knowledge and understanding of FASB, GAAP, DCAA, CAS, and FAR
• Expertise and understanding of all accounting and financial transactions to include cost review, reconciliation of accounts, and adjustments
• Proficiency in using a variety of computer applications to include Office 365 suite

Work Authorization Requirements

• Legal authorization to work in the US

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with DCAA and Incurred Cost
• Adaptability and Flexibility in a Fast-Changing Environment
• Experience with Ultimate/UKG preferred
• Awareness or experience in ISO 9001:2015
