Overview

BOOST is looking for a versatile Business Development Director to join our executive team. In this position you’ll have to be a highly energetic self-starter with the ability to work independently, in order to be successful. You will interact directly with the BOOST senior management, providing sales support to all divisions (Recruiting, Accounting, Contracts, HR, Marketing, Pricing & Compliance) with a focus on lead generation, market analysis and reporting. Responsibilities

  • Outside sales prospecting. Proactive hunting is the name of the game here!
  • Research potential prospects/clients including the ability to uncover appropriate contacts and information about target companies.
  • Critical to this position is the ability to engage prospects in a two-way conversation, and think on the fly (without any scripting!)
  • Attending industry events, representing BOOST and networking.
  • Maintaining internal sales tracking systems, and reporting metrics externally to the leadership team.
  • Flush out and edit proposals tailored to specific prospects based on your communication with them.
  • Ideal for an independent, detail-oriented self-starter who is focused on success and collaboration. Our sales style is different than most. This isn't Glengarry Glenn Ross around here.

Qualifications

  • Fearless, out of the box thinking and a desire to love your job!
  • BS/BA degree, US Citizen.
  • Excellent communicator and collaborator with strong prospecting skills.
  • 10+ years of previous experience working with GovCons. Preferably in an Operations or senior leadership position.
  • Understanding of small business challenges of GovCons.
  • Overall big picture perspective on the inner workings of an organization. Do you understand how it all fits together?
  • Proven track record of developing lead opportunities by qualifying accounts and collecting information that includes business pain points and data such as timelines, project teams, budget, and competitive information.
  • Strong knowledge and use of CRMs.
  • Ability to attend morning and evening events and meeting as needed (when they are happening again and it’s safe).
  • Team player, ability to collaborate with Directors to bring in new business.
