CFO Consultant (full-time)

BOOST is growing, and we’re searching for a full-time CFO Consultant to join our Managed Accounting division providing support to our clients in the government contracting space. As our newest CFO team member, you’ll report to the Director of Managed Accounting and work with fellow Accounting Consultants. BOOST is a virtual organization so this position is remote, but you’ll be expected to maintain EST working hours. Perform client delivery tasks at the CFO level for BOOST clients, which will include:

• Supervise and review the monthly closings and preparation of monthly financial statements
• General ledger operations
• Reconcile and maintain balance sheet accounts
• Direct and indirect cost budgets
• Indirect rate monitoring, rate adjustments, intercompany allocations
• Forward pricing and occasionally proposal pricing as required
• Bank compliance and reporting
• Financial review and strategic analysis
• Audit readiness
• Write policies and procedures
• Ensure compliance with FAR, DCAA, GAAP and CAS requirements
• Provide executive strategic advice and support to client CEOs
• Brief boards of advisors where applicable
• Serve in a leadership capacity for growing GovCons and help advise and counsel on their growth
• DCAA Liasion where required

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance.
• CPA required.
• 15+ years of experience in finance/accounting, in government contracts for multiple type contracts.
• Experience with QuickBooks mandatory, experience with Unanet and Costpoint preferred.
• Must have deep knowledge of FASB and GAAP. 
• Advanced knowledge of CAS, FAR, and DFARs. 
• Expertise and understanding of all accounting and financial transactions to include cost review, reconciliation of accounts, and adjustments.
• Proactive and consultative style, with a strong service focus required.
• Strong communication, project management, and leadership skills with the ability to proactively manage a variety of projects and timelines.
• Hands on consulting experience.
• Proficiency in using a variety of computer software applications, including Microsoft office tools and web-based tools.
